Beep beep beep!

No, no, no.

The annoying buzz of the alarm clock cut through Steve’s peaceful sleep, and he swore, oh, he swore he could already feel the beginnings of a slight headache. Slowly, begrudgingly, his eyes opened, and he let out an irked noise. No. Nope. Not today. Today..he just wanted to spend today with Bucky. Which meant sleeping later than six in the morning.

Reaching over, he hit the off button on the alarm, and he could feel Bucky shift next to him. Aw, man, did it wake him, too? “Mmh, sorry ‘bout that,” he muttered, shifting to roll back into Bucky’s arms, practically burying himself against him. “Guess I forgot to turn it off last night..”

If he was expected to be honest – and that was expected of him; this was Steve he was with, – then no, the alarm DIDN’T wake him up. No, he had been up for roughly half an hour ( maybe even forty-five minutes ) now. He just hadn’t MOVED so that Steve could sleep and in turn, had spent that time watching him. He always managed to look so peaceful whenever he slept, it almost made him jealous.

“…Don’t apologize; it’s fine,” he mumbled, letting Steve get comfortable again before draping his right arm over him lightly. A small smile tugged at his lips, watching him for a second or two longer before placing a kiss on his head. “Been awake for a while now…Now go back to sleep, you sound like you need it.”
