ok but don’t EVER think of Bucky going on his first mission

don’t think about how the guards tossed his vest and boots at him and told him to suit up and how he looked at the outfit and the weapons on it curiously, familiarizing himself with the layout.

don’t think about how he touched the knives and bombs with his metal arm as he pulled it on.

don’t think about how he lifted his new gun to his shoulder to get used to the feel of it.

and ESPECIALLY don’t think about how he felt when he realized he was going out to kill some innocent person and how he had this tiny little feeling of reluctancy and resistance but all he remembers is pain and he’ll do anything to avoid it again.
